My name is Andy Giesler and I’m a Geek.

I help non­prof­its (and a few oth­ers) with infor­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy and infor­ma­tion management.

My free­lance con­sult­ing prac­tice is BlazingMoon.com. Before con­sult­ing I worked in health­care soft­ware for over 20 years as a soft­ware devel­oper, project man­ager, teacher, and writer.

I was a geek before it was cool. (It’s cool now. Seri­ously. Ask any geek.) I sent my first email back when bits were made of stone. I devel­oped my first web­site when the Inter­net still ran on pneu­matic tubes.

My edu­ca­tional back­ground is in Phi­los­o­phy, Com­puter Sci­ence, and Library & Infor­ma­tion Sci­ence. I also have an Associate’s Degree from the School of Hard Knocks.
